Get the Scoop on the Coop

I created this infographic after doing research around how chickens are treated in the egg business. I learned about the cruelty these chickens go through while I was in high school and ever since then I have felt the need to educate others about where their eggs come from. I found that just because certain labels are used does not mean that they have any tangible meaning. In the infographic below you can note the difference between how the chickens that lay the eggs we eat are treated.

The process of creating this infographic was none other than fun and difficult. It was fun because I got swept away in the design aspect. It was difficult because while doing my research I had to see upsetting images of chickens in inhumane conditions. After my research, I had to create a storyboard and evolve through many iterations of my design, incorporating feedback.

I created all the illustrations and used images from my research.
