The goal of this project was to develop an app so individuals under 21 could not "beat the system" while ordering at this bar.
My peer and I began with a couple of rough sketches of our thoughts that we then merged into the paper prototype on the left. With this, we did usability testing with people in the age ranges of 18-25 and 36-50+. With scenario being one of our exploratory tasks.
The 2nd image is the authentication method my partner and I developed. The idea behind it is that the customer scans their ID to be uploaded (this gets sent to a 3rd party verification system), then they take a picture of themselves (it is important to note it cannot be uploaded from a camera role), the 2 identifications must then be confirmed by the customer. At the bar when the order is picked up, the bartender will then confirm on their end that the person has a valid ID.
